Community Outreach

Neighborhood Practice, Global Connection

At H.I.P we value connection.  In caring for your children and family, we recognize the power of a trusting relationship, rooted in compassion, between patient and healthcare provider.

As our H.I.P community has grown, we would like to honor the connection we feel to the greater Denver community and beyond. January 2016 marks the first of a monthly commitment from H.I.P to a highlighted non-profit. The groups will range from local to international organizations that are working to improve the care of children dealing with illness or inadequate access to quality healthcare.

We believe strongly in the power of preventive medicine. To honor the commitment our families have to promoting wellness in their own children, we pledge to donate $1 for every Well Care visit at H.I.P to our chosen non-profit of the month.

We invite you to check in with us on our home page under "What's New at H.I.P." and on Facebook each month to learn about the H.I.P non-profit of the month.

MARCH 2016: The month of March will be dedicated to the Partners in Health . Partners in Health's (PIH) mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, PIH strives to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.

FEBRUARY 2016 : The month of February was dedicated to the Matthew Emrick Memorial Scholarship Fund . Every year, two scholarships are awarded to one boy and one girl at North Middle School in Aurora, CO, who are chosen based on an essay they write. The scholarship provides clothes and supplies for the school year.

JANUARY 2016: For January 2016, our pledge will go toward the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to honor members of our community who have been affected by blood and lymph cancers. Learn more at www.lls.org

2015

DECEMBER 2015: H.I.P made a donation to Brent’s Place a local non-profit that provides housing for immune compromised children and their families who are receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital Colorado and Rocky Mountain Hospital For Children. This is a vital service for families traveling to Denver to receive the specialized, expert care that our children’s hospitals offer. We chose this non-profit for their excellent work and mission, and to honor H.I.P patients who have had to travel to other cities for treatment and find similar housing options. Brent’s Place Mission: Brent's Place strives to provide a unique home away from home, that vigilantly protects the fragile health of patients while also strengthening the integrity of the family unit, enriching day-to-day life and fostering an unwavering community of support.
