It is with mixed emotions that we are announcing this transition for Dr. Abbie away from being a primary care pediatrician at HIP. She has been a wonderful part of HIP for the past 8 years. Thankfully it is not goodbye. She will continue to host group classes, lactation group and telemedicine as a HIP provider. She will no longer be doing wellness visits or in-person sick visits on a regular basis. We are so grateful for her excellent and compassionate work as a primary care provider at HIP and wish her all the best in her new endeavors and her continued collaboration with HIP. For Dr. Abbie’s current patients in need of appointments after August 31st, we will schedule you with one of the other HIP providers and keep you informed about the new provider that will be joining us in the near future. To my beloved HIP families, With a very bittersweet heart, my last day as a primary care pediatrician at HIP will be 8/31. This has been a very difficult decision to make, and one that I have not taken lightly. To say that being your pediatrician has been the honor of my life would be an understatement. Thank you for trusting me to do that. I feel deeply connected to so many of you and your beautiful families; to share in your joys, your sorrows, and to watch your children grow over the last 8 years has been an extraordinary gift. Thank you. What's next: I have chosen to open my own pediatric practice, separate from primary care, that offers more of a consultative model of care with an integrative focus. We will be up and running by the end of 2023. At HIP, I will offer telemedicine visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays, will continue lactation group on Tuesdays, and will be hosting educational group visits throughout the year. I am hopeful that I can still be available for you, just in a different capacity. Please reach out to me if you have questions. I hope this is not a goodbye, just a shift.
